NPI Engineer

Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a leading global engineering service provider who are working in partnership with some of the world’s most influential names in the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Tech, Energy, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Rail and Semi-Conductor industries. 
 
We are seeking an NPI Engineer to join the team in support of aerospace projects on a permanent basis with a hybrid working pattern. 
 

The Role 

The NPI Engineer will create long-term relationships with customers, improving efficiency with strong skills in service delivery, focussing primarily on NPI, capacity, producibility, problem solving and lean processes for new product introductions.

• Act as primary contact on NPI for the customer and their suppliers.
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously with a global projects team.
• Assist the effective implementation and distribution of new products for suppliers.
• Analyse and recommend improvements to all production processes and methods to facilitate cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Develop manufacturing plans for assigned NPI.

The Person 

The NPI Engineer will be able to work on a hybrid arrangement, travelling to the site in Derby and must be a specialist in the introduction of new products with extensive supply chain and manufacturing process knowledge.  

Experience Required for the NPI Engineer: 

• The ability to speak and read French is essential for this position.
• Previous experience of NPI engineering in aerospace.
• Previous experience of the aerospace or defence industries. 
• Lean/Continuous Improvement process experience essential (Kaizen, Kanban, 5S)
• Familiar with quality operations PPAP/APQP or the equivalent.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel within Europe without restriction.
