Senior Systems Engineer

Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a specialist defence engineering company working in partnership with UK MOD to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer to produce complex in theatre communication systems.

The Role:

You will be part of a team who are actively engaged in a critical role to support defence programmes to develop military communication systems and associated hardware.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop mathematical models to simulate and assess system design performance using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Validate and verify complex electronic circuitry and technical solutions.
• Conduct Systems Engineering design and development activities.

The Person

The successful candidate will have systems engineering experience working in the defence industry or direct signals/communications experience in the military/armed forces – particularly within naval or land-based communication systems (such as Bowman).

Experience Required for the Systems Engineer role:

• Degree in engineering, maths or science.
• Experience of full system lifecycle; requirements, design, development, testing integration and acceptance.
• Experience in the development of analogue electronics.
• Currently hold SC or have previously held SC clearance with eligibility to gain DV clearance in the near future.
